At Ecotours we have three boats available for you at any time for all sort of ocean trips. You can enjoy a short trip along the coast, relax while watching a beautiful sunset or discover Banderas Bay’s vast snorkeling spots and its abundance of marine life.
We invite you to navigate through the marvelous Banderas Bay, with fantastic scenery and home of a wide population of marine life such as sea turtles, sea birds, fish and dolphins among others.
Our trips are designed to meet specific interests and personalized adventures according to your dates of travel, activities of interest, length of stay and budget.

Our Vessels
24 ft zodiak inflatable boat
Our Zodiac boat is the safest way to discover all the pleasures of boating, very stable and with comfortable access to the water and great visibility. This boat is specially designed for wildlife viewing and is very comfortable. Can fit up to 10 persons on board plus expedition leader and captain. It has two Suzuki 90 HP motors, stereo system and canopy.
30 ft Panga boat
This boat is specially designed for family or friend groups, bigger than our Zodiak, our Panga can hold 12 to14 persons on board, plus crew. It has WC, a great distribution of seats with wide space and cushions for sunbathing, easy to climb ladder for getting in or out of the water and stereo system on board. It has two Suzuki 140 HP motors and canopy. Two fishing lines available by request.
40 ft Sailing boat
Fits up to 12 persons plus crew. Bathroom and stereo system on board.
NOTE: Please consider that sailboats are not fast boats and they travel slowly.

– Los Arcos with Short Panoramic sightseeing of the city of Puerto Vallarta
This National Marine Park is a very special spot to enjoy snorkel and learn from the diverse forms of marine life. Around this iconic rock formations, you can see dozens of colorful fish and birds that inhabit this marvelous location anchored in the deepest waters of Bandera’s Bay. On the way back to Puerto Vallarta, we’ll cruise along the downtown area, with views of the city’s main square, the magnificent church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Los Muertos Pier and Los Arcos famous rock formations, while enjoying the natural wonders the Bay has to offer.
– Beauties of the North Coast short route
On Puerto Vallarta’s North Coast you can explore the beauty of the Ameca River, Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias to later take time to stop in a pristine secluded white sand beach, surrounded by the mountains of the Sierra de Vallejo.
– Sunset by the Bay (Only 3.5 hours)
Puerto Vallarta has some of the most beautiful sunsets on earth, a perfect way to unwind Vallarta. Depart around 6 p.m. and watch the sun descend into the ocean, in one of the most beautiful bays in the world, while our crew tells you about local history and culture.
5-hrs tours
– Las Animas OR Quimixto,
On the way to the South part of the Bay we´ll stop at Los Arcos for snorkeling and afterwards, you decide if you want to go to Las Animas or to Quimixto: Las Animas offers sea kayaking, banana rides, parachute and a great variety of palapa style Restaurants, with comfortable beach chairs and the freshest selection of Seafood from the region (all these not included in the tour).
At Quimixto we can take you on a 30-minute walk or you can rent a horse to visit an impressive 20 meter waterfall (only on raining season) that flows into a beautiful lagoon.
– Majahuitas
It is a fascinating site that has a small beach of clear sand and crystal clear waters, surrounded by a rocky environment that provides a perfect coastal sanctuary for dozens of reefs inhabited by multicolored fish. The beauty in this place is complemented by impressive mountains with lush vegetation and beautiful coastal birds. On this trip you will enjoy great views and snorkeling.
6-hrs tours
– Yelapa
On our journey South of the Bay we can choose to snokel at Colimilla, afterwards we continue to Yelapa, a little fishing village with a single paved street, emerald-colored ocean and golden soft sand. Yelapa is only accessible by boat. You will have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the palapa style restaurants. Boat ride takes around 1 hour each way.

Comfortable clothing, light windbreaker or jacket, sunscreen, cap and lenses, camera. If you’re concerned about seasickness please consult your physician or pharmacist about preventatives that might be good for you.

SUPPORTING CONSERVATION
In Ecotours de México we pride ourselves on offering excellent services on all our nature tours. To achieve this, we believe it is vital to protect the most important thing we have: our environment. Therefore, throughout our more than 25 years of experience, we have participated and supported different associations, campaigns and conservation projects, both local and national. Some of them are:
ECOBAC.
– We are the main sponsor of ECOBAC (Ecology and Conservation of Whales, AC), a non-profit association that is responsible for the research and protection of humpback whales in Banderas Bay, as well as the diffusion of the NOM-131-SEMARNAT-2010, federation standard for whale watching.
– We participate in the FIBB Catalog providing photographs of humpback whales for identification.
– ECOBAC and RABEN (Network of Assistance to Entangled Whales) are responsible for dealing with cases of whales entangled in fishing gear; Ecotours has supported these activities by providing boats and trained personnel for rescue maneuvers.
– Distribution of ecological and conservation information for environmental education.

Boca de Tomatlán Sea Turtle Camp.
– Each season, Ecotours de México makes a donation of various materials necessary for the correct management of the camp (tarpaulins, buckets, boxes, rakes, diggers, etc.)
– Also, donations of teaching materials with information about turtles have been made.
– Likewise, a donation is made per person in each of our visits during our tour “Encounter with Nature at the Sea Turtle Camp”.
The Green Macaw Sanctuary.
– In 2017, an artificial nest was donated for the project of protection, conservation and reproduction of the green macaw in Las Juntas and Los Veranos, Jalisco.
– Ecotours staff also supported the assembly of the donated artificial nest.
– Also, a donation is made per person in each of our visits to the sanctuary during the “Green Macaws Sanctuary” tour.
Campaigns to clean rivers and beaches.
– Ecotours has organized and participated in various local campaigns to clean the rivers and beaches of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.
– In the same way, we clean the areas we visit in our tours.
Fishing Garbage Tournament at Marietas Islands.
– Ecotours has promoted and participated of the cleaning activities organized by CONANP (National Commission of Protected Natural Areas) and the National Park managers.
Distribution of organic products.
– To further support the care of our environment, at our shop we have biodegradable products (Newen organic soap, solid shampoo, handmade soaps), environment-riendly products (bamboo toothbrushes) and reusable products (aluminum bottles, mesh bags and jute bags).
We do this because we really care about Nature.

- Cancellations 72 hrs in advance 100 % refund
- Cancellations 48 hrs in advance 50% refund
- Cancellations the day of tour or no shows or be late, forfeit the entire amount, No refund
- Activities may change due to weather conditions (hurricane, storm, swells)
- All guests are required to sign an acknowledgement of risk.
- All tours are non-refundable once taken.
