Discover the extraordinary birdlife and natural beauty surrounding Banderas Bay on this immersive full-day birdwatching adventure.

We begin our journey toward the tropical semi-deciduous forest on the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta, exploring preserved habitats within this vital natural area. These peaceful surroundings offer excellent birdwatching opportunities in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems of the region.

As we ascend to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the bay, we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views while discovering the rich biodiversity of this tropical forest. This habitat is home to remarkable species such as the Crane Hawk, Elegant Quail, and a vibrant variety of warblers, woodpeckers, flycatchers, hummingbirds, trogons, and parrots.

Our adventure continues along the banks of the Ameca River, the natural border between the states of Nayarit and Jalisco. As the river flows into the bay, it creates an extensive wetland ecosystem that attracts both marine and terrestrial bird species seeking food, shelter, and resting grounds.

We conclude our experience at the shoreline, exploring mangrove forests and searching for coastal and shorebirds within this vibrant estuarine environment. At the mouth of the river lies the beautiful Boca de Tomates Estuary, where we may encounter White Ibis, herons, egrets, sandpipers, and terns. With a bit of luck, we might also spot a Kingfisher or the striking Common Black Hawk.

This tour offers a perfect blend of scenic landscapes, conservation awareness, and exceptional birdwatching opportunities.
