30 Years Exploring Banderas Bay
For 30 years, Ecotours Vallarta has been taking people beyond the beaches and into the wild side of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.
We are biologists, naturalists, divers, birders, ocean lovers and local guides who genuinely enjoy sharing this extraordinary place we call home.
From watching a humpback whale surface beside the boat to swimming around the Marietas Islands, looking for wild dolphins, releasing baby sea turtles or following a tropical forest trail toward the ocean, our tours are designed around one idea:

How It Started
It Started With a Love for Nature
Ecotours Vallarta began with a family journey through Mexico and grew from a shared passion for biology, wildlife, and responsible travel.
Over the years, that passion has taken us across Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, creating experiences that are fun, personal and educational without feeling like a classroom.
Some adventures have become part of who we are.
Every winter, our Humpback Whale Watching tours take guests into Banderas Bay to meet the whales that migrate to these warm Pacific waters.
Throughout the year, we search for wild dolphins, snorkel around Los Arcos and the Marietas Islands, explore the region with birdwatchers, dive beneath the surface of the Pacific and walk through tropical forest toward hidden beaches.
And when sea turtle season arrives, we invite visitors to discover another side of conservation at a local Sea Turtle Camp.
