Some places are best experienced slowly, allowing time to appreciate both the journey and the destination — Yelapa is one of them. Tucked between the Pacific Ocean and the lush foothills of the Sierra Madre, Yelapa is a small coastal community accessible primarily by boat, combining tropical forest, village life, secluded beaches, and mountain streams. Aboard your private 30-foot super panga, you'll travel with an experienced biologist or naturalist guide along the southern coast of Puerto Vallarta, with views of jungle-covered mountains, rocky coastline, and secluded beaches. Our first stop is Colimilla, where you'll snorkel and explore the coastal waters, with your guide helping identify marine life along the way. From Colimilla, we continue by boat to Yelapa, where we leave the sea behind for a short walk through the village and along a scenic trail to the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall, you'll have free time to swim, relax on the beach, explore the village, or enjoy lunch at a local beachfront restaurant before returning by boat to Marina Vallarta. This is a fully private experience — your group has the boat exclusively for yourselves, with the flexibility to enjoy the coastline, snorkeling, and Yelapa at your own pace. Yelapa is not simply a beach destination — it's a living coastal community surrounded by tropical forest and a rich marine environment. We ask guests to avoid disturbing wildlife, never touch marine life or corals while snorkeling, and take any waste back with them.
