“The bus ride through the Mexican countryside was lovely, and cold water and sodas were available. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of this now-small town, once a thriving silver mine, and was able to point out things en route — it was great that he spoke both Spanish and English. On the way we had a couple of stops to see and learn about Blue and Green Agave, use bathrooms, and stretch our legs. Once we arrived at the town, the walking tour was very informative, and we also had free time to check out purchases. The coffee plantation was fabulous, and the trip to learn about the three Spanish families was too. Lunch on the way back was marvellous, prepared by a local agave grower and maker of mezcal and different types of tequila, complemented by samples and the ability to purchase! A great day, I highly recommend it!”
